Hey, we'll take it, and with a band like them, who have been putting out great vibes and touring for the better part of the last 20 years, we'd love to see them LIVE. Speaking of which, they play the Stone Pony Summer Stage with Flipturn on July 26th! You can bet that there will be plenty of Jetty heads at that one!

Das Debütalbum von The Last Dinner Party ist endlich da! Auch wenn sie bereits vor der Veröffentlichung ihrer ersten Single „Nothing Matters“ im April 2023 fertig waren, musste die Band noch einiges beweisen. Ihr Branding und ihre Energie bei Live-Shows halten mehr als stand, und Leadsängerin Abigail Morris bringt es in diesem Auszug aus einer Frage-und-Antwort-Runde mit The Luna Collective perfekt auf den Punkt:

Ich denke, es gibt zwei Dinge für diese Frage. Erstens wollen wir das auf der Bühne für uns erreichen. Und dann noch eins: So wollen wir, dass sich die Menschen fühlen.

Wir hatten schon sehr früh eine Diskussion über diese Frage … „Wie wollen wir, dass sich die Leute bei unseren Auftritten fühlen und wenn sie gehen?“ Und so kamen wir zu dem Schluss, dass wir wollen, dass die Leute die Show mit dem Gefühl verlassen, als wären sie gerade auf der besten Dinnerparty gewesen, auf der sie je waren, mit den coolsten Leuten und den besten Gesprächen. Du bist ein bisschen betrunken und voller Ideen und Energie.

Ducks Ltd. stehen in etwa einem Monat vor der Veröffentlichung ihres neuen Albums „Harm's Way“ . Train Full of Gasoline basiert auf einer realen Katastrophe, bei der eine Reihe kleiner Fehler zu einer Katastrophe führten ( Eisenbahnkatastrophe am Lac Megantic in Quebec). Tom Mcgreevy hat mitgeteilt, dass es in dem Song um selbstzerstörerische Muster geht und darum, sicherzustellen, dass sich diese nicht anhäufen. Mcgreevy und Bandkollege Evan Lewis werden dieses Jahr unterwegs sein und ihre Heimatstadt Toronto repräsentieren!

Die anderen vier Alben von Surf Curse , der Band, für die er Schlagzeug spielt und für die er den Leadgesang übernimmt, sind dabei nicht mitgezählt. LOVE + POP serviert einige klassische Current Joys, aber auch einige unerwartete Tracks (Lil Yachty- und Lala Lala-Features sowie ein Cover von Lil Peeps „Walk Away as the Door Slams “). Vor weniger als einem Jahr gaben die Strumbellas bekannt, dass ihr Frontmann Simon Ward in den Hintergrund tritt. Touren können ihren Tribut fordern, aber die gute Nachricht war, dass Ward im Hintergrund blieb, um beim Schreiben von Songs zu helfen. Nun erscheint nächsten Monat ihr erstes Album in voller Länge seit 2019, wobei Jimmy Chauveau ( Ascot Royals ) den Hauptgesang übernehmen wird. „Hold Me“ ist eine schöne, fröhliche Hymne, die perfekt zum Weihnachtstag passt ~ Frohe Weihnachten und schöne Feiertage an alle unsere Freunde und Familie!

„Deeper Love“ von Dante High

Ari Picker ist vielleicht unsere passendste (und beliebteste) Draw Your Own Line- Geschichte innerhalb der Music Monday-Reihe. Nach seinem Studium am Berklee College of Music gründete er Lost in the Trees und veröffentlichte von 2007 bis 2014 erfolgreiche Alben. Anschließend hörte er praktisch mit der Musik auf, baute ein Haus in Pittsboro (NC), heiratete und gründete eine Familie. Picker wusste nicht wirklich, wie man ein Haus baut, und gründete ein Bauunternehmen. Er betreibt auch ein supercooles kleines Studio namens Goth Construction . Im Jahr 2018 kehrte er unter dem Namen Dante High in die Musikszene zurück. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt lernten wir seine Musik kennen und stellten Green Swamp vor. Spulen wir vor in die COVID-Ära und Picker brachte Dante High II heraus, aber viele Leute hörten es nicht, da es erst diesen Herbst (ca. 2 Jahre später) bei den großen Streaming-Diensten erschien. Auch wenn diese Musik nicht ganz neu ist, so ist sie doch für viele, und wir lieben sie. Schauen Sie sich das Video zu Deeper Love an!

Der Music Monday dieser Woche ist ganz New Jersey! Ja, wir sind durch und durch eine Marke aus Jersey und sehr stolz auf den Staat, in dem wir tätig sind und in dem wir zu Hause sind. Betreten Sie Real Estate , eine Band aus Jersey, die im kommenden Februar ihre sechste LP veröffentlichen wird. Die neue Single „ Water Underground“ basiert auf „The Adventures of Pete & Pete“ (von Nickelodeon). Im Video (unten) sind Danny Tamberelli und Michael C. Maronna zu sehen, die beide in der größten Kinderserie aller Zeiten mitwirkten. Sowohl das Video als auch die TV-Show wurden im Garden State gedreht!
