It was over two months ago when wildfires broke out and devastated one of the surf world's favorite places, Maui. Doing our duty as a core surf brand and steward of our environment, we reacted by organizing a local event as well as partnering with a Maui native, both to raise funds for vetted families, businesses, nonprofits and first-responders. As our tribe nearly 5,000 miles away continues on their long journey to unite and rebuild, we are proud to send over 27,500+ in financial aid thanks to your support!

This educational event features a massive raw bar catered by local oyster farmers, food vendors, craft beer and spirits, kids activities and a shucking contest. The LBI International Kite Festival will also be taking place simultaneously at the bay and beach at 68th street in Brant Beach (NJ). We love educating local future leaders about our Jetty Rock Foundation initiatives! This past Monday and Tuesday saw busloads of 6th graders from Stafford Intermediate School hit the land and bay in Barnegat Light, NJ. The Barnegat Oyster Collective stressed the importance of oysters while students were also able to partake in hands-on activities both in and out of the water. What a great day to celebrate the Bay!

This special gathering is in partnership with the NJ Surfing Hall of Fame (NJSHOF) and New Jersey Boardriders, both of which contribute to and recognize all of the great surfing here in the Garden State. Earth Day Cleanup

Earth Day is on April 22nd, but we need to get out there every day to make a difference! As a Surfrider Foundation Coastal Defender, we activated some of our staff yesterday to do a cleanup in Barnegat Light, NJ. The amount of waste and plastic that we removed from the shoreline was eye-opening and troubling, but it felt good to fill up those bags! There are plenty of small/easy/daily decisions we can make to have a positive affect on our planet. Check out our cleanup results here. Our full Spring/Summer '23 line is now available on the web and in our Flagship Store, and one of our favorite services is back - Buy Online, Pickup In-Store! We had to go the 3PL (Third Party Logistics) route in 2022 which meant that, for the first time in 19 years, we didn't handle our own distribution. That led to massive shipping delays for our eComm customers and our local friends could no longer swing by for their online orders. We saw the writing on the wall and got right back to drawing our own line...distribution is now fully back in-house and we're dead set on offering the highest level of customer service once again! Thanks for sticking with us through the ups & downs....this year will certainly be an up...it's our 20th Anniversary! Craft & Calling: A Celebration of NJ Surf Culture

We're excited to announce our next Craft & Calling event, A Celebration of New Jersey Surf Culture! This ticketed event will be limited to 200 people with tickets soon to be available via JettyRockFoundation.org. All proceeds will benefit the Jetty Rock Foundation and the New Jersey Surfing Hall of Fame! This partnership with the NJSHOF will welcome NJ residents as well as those traveling from outside of the state for food, drink, film, scholarship announcements, an autograph signing and panel discussion on June 3, 2023 at the Jetty Flagship Store and courtyard. On the following day, the NJSHOF will be inducting new members which they do on a bi-annual basis. Mark your calendars!

Arctic Outreach donors brave the cold

Last weekend we hosted our 8th Annual Arctic Outreach with partners the Tide Table Group, Reynolds Garden Shop, Reynolds Landscaping, Rustic Drift and Sister Sisters and Family. All proceeds benefitted our Jetty Rock Foundation, and thanks to fans braving the cold we had one of our highest grossing revenue years! Temperatures peaking in the low-to-mid 30's with occasional flurries didn't thwart hundreds of supporters eating, drinking, roasting marshmallows and donating in loving memory of Mallory McBrien. Resilient children ran around with handfuls of tickets to pet alpacas, jump in the bounce house and win stuffed animals by playing games in the Kid Corral. As expenses are paid and profits are realized, the Jetty Rock Foundation will now work on hardship grants for community members in need as well as donate to the McBrien children's education funds. Thank you to all of the business sponsors, organizing partners, volunteers, bands and everyone who put a little chill in the air aside for the greater good!

We capped off this year with a few great fundraisers and now it's time to mark those calendars for 2023! Our Craft & Calling: Sandy 10 Years Stronger event in September kicked off a month+ of raising funds for Hurricanes Fiona & Ian. In October, we had our best Shellabration to date and then we finished off the year with Crabbin' for a Cause - an invite-only crab cake dinner to thank all of our sponsors! The Jetty Rock Foundation is growing and we're excited to donate more and more each year! We're excited for you to continue joining us in supporting Environmental, Community and Storm Relief initiatives next year - thank you for your support!

Hurricane Ian Relief Drive

With financial donations and commitments already in place, we are also executing an essentials drive for Hurricane Ian victims in Florida. This weekend we'll be accepting specific items (see below) at our Flagship Store. On Monday, October 31st we're going to drive all of the donations straight down to the West Coast of FL. We appreciate your support as we approach our own Sandy 10-year anniversary here in New Jersey.

Reminder: Jetty Unite + Rebuild garments are still available and all proceeds support Hurricane Ian Relief!

Let It Grow this Movember!

Our friends at David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation are doing a great job keeping the fundraising going for NJ families battling a Cancer diagnosis. Let It Grow is a fun one for the guys, but women & children are encouraged to join in too (grow your hair, beard, mustache, whatever)! This year the top (4) fundraisers will receive a Jetty gift card ranging from 100-500! Additionally, each ambassador or team can choose a specific NJ family to donate to, and unfortunately we all know that there is no lack of potential donees. Please join us to support this great cause!

Pat Harrington Board Raffle

We're proud to partner with Farias Surf & Sport and the Harrington family to raffle off the 5'9" Lost Driver 2.0 that Pat had ordered before he passed. This contest is in-person and exclusively through Farias Surf & Sport in Ship Bottom, NJ. Funds raised will support the Southern Regional Surf Team as well as a local scholarship. Stop over if you are on Long Beach Island and fill out a ticket!
